a half-written journal entry from 13th december 2016
there was a lot more i planned on saying, but this is it for now.
my dad used to have a book cover with a little mouse character on it and the tagline "only is not lonely". i dont know why but i would always read this and repeat it in my head over and over again. i didnt really understand what it meant - i thought it was weird. but now i think i do. "by myself," "alone," "a table for one please," all sound kind of... sad, but - over this trip especially - i've come to treasure and appreciate the time that i have to myself.
only is not frickn lonely. only is liberating, grounding, fun, renewing, challenging, meditative, introspective, learning, evocative, peaceful, motivating...
