there is a little photo of me in the february issue of ginza magazine!! it's a little section talking about hand-me-downs from family members and how we style them now, which is perfect for me since at least half of my wardrobe is from my mum or my grandma. even if it's only a little photo, being in a magazine is freakin' cool if you ask me!! i was super excited when i received the email about this!! ginza is also a beautiful magazine, so it was lovely to flick through it on a saturday morning.

GINZA２月号に、ちょっとだけ出ています！家族からのおさがりを現在どうやって着ているか。私はいつも母とおばあちゃんの服を貰ってるから、ぴったり！今の服より、おさがりや古着の方が１００倍好き。個性的でとってもユニークなファッションが大好き。もしよかったら、見てみてね！GINZAはとっても素敵な雑誌だから、色んな面白い記事が載ってるよ。

Hello friends! It's been too long. I've been caught up in the whirlwind that is school and short winter days (I'm too lazy to shoot in the morning... but I'm working on it). But no one wants to talk about exam week or essays, so let's just take a moment together to appreciate how damn cute my phone case is! I received this in the mail from Casetify about two weeks ago and the amount of compliments that I have received is so much wow (exams have fried my brain; no sophisticated adjectives left to express myself; relying too much on autocorrect)! Casetify lets you customise your own phone case with your Instagram photos, which is super awesome (Instagram!!). They have cases for a lot of different phones, but for the iPhone 5 you can choose between a large hard case (for the paranoid) and a super slim case (for the adventurous). I'm a little paranoid. And they also have a bunch of different design templates to customise as well. Super!

Wearing my year 9 textiles assessment to go with my colourful phone case (and to try and hypnotise myself into having time management skills).

最近ブログを更新してなくてごめんなさい！先週は、一週間試験だけだったから、ずっとそれのための勉強をしてた。でも、その話はちょっと悲しくてつまらないから私の新しいiPhoneケースの話をしよう！２週間ぐらい前にCasetifyから届いたよ。自分のInstagramの写真でカスタマイズできるケース。私のは友達と一緒に撮った写真がいっぱい並んでる。iPhoneだけじゃなくて、色んなスマートフォンのケースをカスタマイズできるからすごくいいよ。写真の並べ方も、色んなテンプレートがあるから本当に自分が好きなようにできる！

中３の時にテキスタイルで作ったドレスと合わせた。全部カラフルで元気な気分になるなぁ〜試験も終わってスッキリ！

またまた学校が超忙しくなりませんように！じゃね〜

It's already been a week since the last time I posted! Shooting outfits and writing up posts hasn't been that easy the last few weeks since school is always calling my attention. But it is almost the autumn holidays, so hopefully I can post a lot then.

While I was sick last week I received a parcel from Sammy Dress Clothing, my first ever sponsor! They are an online boutique based in Hong Kong, and sell really affordable clothing. They sent me a super lovely, retro-style skirt. The material is quite sturdy and has some weight to it, which makes it feel much more expensive than it actually is. It also has some pleats around it, giving it a nice drape. I was a bit hot shooting this on Saturday, but I am super stoked to be wearing this a lot more once it officially gets cold in Sydney!

このあいだブログを更新してもう１週間！最近学校が忙しくて、コーデの写真を撮って文書を書く時間があんまり無い。でも、もうすぐ秋休みだからその時にいっぱいアップしたいと思う。楽しみ！

先週、風邪を引いて学校を休んでいた時に初めてのスポンサーからの荷物が届いた。香港のオンラインブティック「Sammy Dress」から可愛いスカートが届いた。今すごく流行っているレトロなスタイルの黒いスカート。「Sammy Dress」はリーズナブルなお洋服をいっぱい売っているけど、このスカートは生地がしっかりしていてすごく高い感じがして長く持ちそう。この写真を撮っていた時はちょっと暑かったけど、寒くなってからこのスカートをいっぱい着るのが楽しみ！

Newtown Square, opposite Newtown Railway Station from 10am to 4pm every Saturday

Some photos from Yoshimi's stall at Newtown Markets. She's usually there every Saturday so go and check her out! Her prices are also quite reasonable, since it can take up to a month to handmade some of the items. Yoshimi is also very lovely to talk to (and all the other quirky stall holders there), so chat her up and some cute yums. Hint hint, Valentines (or Galentines or Single Awareness Day, whatever floats your boat) is coming up and some cute cupcake necklaces or lemon brooches would be a perfect gift for a girlfriend/gal friend/yourself (gotta treat yo' self)! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week - mine is slowly picking up its pace and getting busier!

よしみさんのマーケットの売り場の写真です。毎週土曜日いつもいるから遊びに行ってね！アクセの値段も全然高くないし、ちょうどいい。1ヶ月かかるアクセもあるから値段は超リーズナブル。よしみさんは日本語と英語もオッケーで、すごく話しやすいから色んな事話していると楽しいよ！そしてそして、もうすぐバレンタインデーだから友達や自分にへのプレゼントにバッチリ。みんなも行ってみてね。学校が始まって、ちょっとずつ忙しくなったいるけどブログも今まで通りにアップしていきたいと思います！みんなも楽しみにしてね。じゃ、また今度の更新でww

A lovely lady named Yoshimi runs a handmade jewellery store at Newtown Markets every Saturday and her little creations are too good not to share! She's got a large range from ice-cream to donuts, and jam toast to bacon and egg breakfast combos. She's also got an array of fruits and vegetables for any vegetarians! Yoshimi let me borrow a few of her accessories and I shot these fun photos at home (while everyone had gone to Canberra). Her jewellery looks really real so make sure you aren't hungry when you visit her. More photos to come in a future post, so check this space!

知り合いのよしみさんが毎週ニュータウンのマーケットで手作りのアクセサリーを売っていて、そのアクセサリーがすごく可愛いんです。これはみんなにも紹介しなきゃと思いました。色んなデザートやお菓子のアクセを作っているけどそれだけじゃなくて、生卵のピアスやサンドイッチのネックレス、ちょっと変わっていてここでしか買えないアクセサリーもいっぱい売っている。アクセサリーをよしみさんから借りて、この写真を撮りました。アクセサリーがとっても可愛くてたまらない！全部本物みたいだから、マーケットに行く時はお腹がすいてないように。
