Hello friends! This is my last photo diary entry from my recent trip to Japan (finally). We made a trip to Hakone, which was a couple hours on the train from Tokyo, and it was simply beautiful. It's kind of unbelievable that a place so close to the city can be so serene and untouched by the urban lifestyle. It was unfortunate that the weather wasn't too good, but the fog was so beautiful it didn't really matter. Apparently if the weather is nice you can see Mount Fuji from the cable cars. But we were able to see a tiny bit of Mount Fuji when the weather cleared up for a few minutes (literally) so that was lovely! It was also my first time experiencing a Japanese hot spring, and it was amazing. It's so calming and relaxing, and it makes your skin feel super soft. We also ate black boiled eggs in Owakudani. Apparently each egg extends your life by seven years - I ate two. It was super lovely and relaxing to spend a weekend away in Hakone, and it was a nice way to reset our minds and bodies for a busy week in Tokyo.
