I'm really happy with myself because I am not procrastinating and I'm sleeping at 10 - gotta keep those new year's resolutions I made in 2k12~~ Also I finished reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest this morning and what the heck!! it was amazing. The last few chapters were a whirlwind of happenings and feelings in both the characters and myself. But I feel like I need to read it once more to absorb allllllll of the content. The book depicts the issues of patients at a psych ward, and their growth towards rebellion against the conformity and oppression at the hospital. But it's so much more complicated and multi-layered than that!! All the characters are so so different. It's also an interesting look into how mental illnesses were treated when the book was written, with the use of lobotomy and electroshock therapy in the novel.
On a different note. Fresh kicks!!! Love me some Air Max Nikes.
最近は毎日コツコツ勉強してて、早寝早起きもできてきてるから嬉しいぃぃ。中２ぐらいの新年の抱負を今更、、、笑笑
そして今日の朝、「カッコーの巣の上で」を読み終わったの。すっごくいい本だった！読んだ後、色々の事を考えさせる本だった。本が書かれた６０年代の精神科病院の患者さんへの扱いと治療方法と、今のアプローチは全然違くてちょっと驚いた。そしてホッとした。愛情や触れ合いのない、人間の心までコントロールする精神科病院で自由を勝ち取ろうとする男達の話。
話が変わるけど、新しい靴をゲットしたよ！沖縄のおじさんとおばさんにありがとう！新しいナイキのスニーカーです。
