Some snapshots from Tokyo! I was too busy gawking at all the pairs of cute socks (bought 15 pairs...) that were on display outside of shops that I didn't take too many photos. But Tokyo did not disappoint. Each part of Tokyo had a different vibe to it, and that was really interesting to experience. Harajuku was definitely my favourite. I went there on 2 days during the week I was there and that was definitely not enough time to explore the whole place. It was very "avant-garde" and full of trendy young people. Shibuya was Shibooya! and Asakusa was beautiful and bustling with culture and tourists. Also, the view from the Skytree and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory was definitely something you can only see in Tokyo so that was pretty amazing too. All-in-all Tokyo was just something else. You'll definitely see me back there.

I also made a short little vlog of my whole trip so I hope you enjoy that as well!

東京で撮った写真！可愛い靴下とかに夢中になっててあんまり写真は撮ってないけど...ww 東京はどこに行ってもすごく独特で素敵な街を体験できて楽しかった。私が一番楽しかったのは多分原宿。１週間いた間に２回も行ったけど、まだまだ行きたいお店はいっぱい。街を歩いている人達もすごくおしゃれで、人間観察するだけでもすごく面白かった。渋谷は本当に人がいっぱいでびっくりしました。東京はやっぱり「都会！」って感じた。で、浅草とお台場にも遊びに行ったよ。スカイツリーと都庁からの景色も超素敵だったし。１週間の間にいろんな東京を体験できてすごく嬉しい！でも、まだまだ色んな東京を体験したいからまた行ける日が待ち遠しい！

I found these photos in the depths of my hard drive, and thought it would be nice to share. A little summer #ootd to balance out all the winter layers. This t-shirt is a total conversation starter, and who doesn't love a good pair of cute houndstooth socks. Mmm anyway, today I stayed home because I had a bad headache and I literally cannot think of anything cool to say right now so I will leave it here. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

忘れていた、まだ暖かい時に撮った写真をたまたま見つけた。見ているとちょっと寒く感じるなぁ、オーストラリアは今冬だから。このユニクロのTシャツはお気に入りで、この靴下も可愛いくて好き。でもこの２、３日は頭痛か続いていて書きたい事があんまり頭に浮かんでこないぃ。なので、今日はこんな感じかな。みんな、楽しい週末を！

I'm missing the warmth and vibrant nature of Okinawa, and when Nina says she feels reverse-homesick I totally get what she means. Okinawa was two weeks of intense sun and humidity, beautiful beaches, fish, and cute little cousins. Okinawa is where my parents are from, and it's totally different from mainland Japan. I love how it has such a unique culture and history, and the people and places there are a break from city life; both Sydney and Tokyo. I can't explain in words how much I love this place. It's my home away from home. Guys, put Okinawa on your bucket list because it is an amazing place!!

ブログのためにこの文章を書いているとちょっと淋しい気持ちになる。沖縄の明るさと暖かさをシドニーの真冬の日々に届けて欲しいぃ〜２週間しかいなかったけど、その２週間は超楽しかった！いとこと遊んだり、海に行ったり、サンエーで時間をつぶしたり〜景色も超奇麗で感動した。この写真は生で見る時と全然比べ物にならないぐらい奇麗よ。やっぱり沖縄は夏に行くべき！沖縄は大好きだから、また行くのがまちかんてぃー

Since the last time that I've updated I went out and saw Grouplove and The 1975 live (first concerts since The Veronicas in '07), started hip hop lessons and made some new friends. AND IT ALSO BECAME AUGUST! I'm sixteen tomorrow, whaaaaaat? I literally feel twelve.

Anyways, doesn't this green dress remind you of Mabel from Animal Crossing? I used to be obsessed with becoming friends with her sister, Sabel and I bragged for a good two weeks when we finally made conversation. Then I lost all interest in playing Animal Crossing. (I chucked on a thermal turtleneck underneath the dress because it's actually so cold right now) (This post isn't very coherent because I am writing this post while doing my maths homework - bad idea probably - and listening to this cover of Drunk in Love. Anyways, hope you all have a great rest of the week!)

このあいだのアップデートから色々あって忙しかったぁ〜GrouploveとThe 1975のライブに行って、ヒップホップレッスンを友達と通い始めて、新しい友達もできたよ！そしてもう８月だよぉぉ。嘘みたいに早いね、時間がたつのが。しかも、明日は私の誕生日。１６歳になっちゃうよ〜心はまだ１２歳だけど．．．

で、この緑のドレスは何となく動物の森のキャラクターが着てそうで可愛いなぁって思った。でも、今はそのまま着るには寒すぎるからしたからユニクロのヒートテックを着てるよ。冬はヒートテックが無いと無理だな。

今はビヨンセのDrunk in Loveのこのカバーにハマったる。みんなもいい１週間を！
